About Laciann Di

My grandmom was a lady hat designer and she once designed hats for Queen Elizabeth II of England. That was something we were all very proud of as a family!
My mom was a wedding dress designer and when I was very young, she used to make beautiful dresses for me to wear and my classmates envied me a lot !

So naturally I got into designing dresses and I would have my mother make the dresses I drew for me. I felt like I was dreaming every time I wore the dresses I had drawn.
Years later I went to study fashion design at Central Saint Martins, University of London. There I met many designers who were already well known in the fashion industry at the time. It was there that I saw the direction I was pursuing.

After graduating, I went to France to study fabric texturing, during which I did an internship at an old fashion fabric factory.
During my internship, I learned a lot of things I had never been exposed to before and gained a constant stream of inspiration.
After leaving France, I moved to Italy to study jewellery design.
My mentor took me to the local gemstone market to source raw stones and bring them back to the studio for cutting and polishing.

It was here that I completed the first piece of jewellery I ever designed in my life!

Since then I have been interested in jewellery design, especially Italian handcrafted jewellery!
After my experience in Italy, I travelled to Los Angeles. I was inspired by the sun, the sand and the sea. By coincidence, I met a college friend I hadn't seen in years, who had started a street fashion label in LA. After a few conversations and with his encouragement, Laciann Di was born!

At first my family didn't want me to live abroad for a long time, so they cut off all financial support to me. However, due to my limited financial resources, I had to temporarily rent a place in my friend's company to start my business.
It was always a difficult start, from the beginning when I couldn't make ends meet, I gradually built up a group of customers who really appreciated my work and a maturing team was born. This process has allowed me to grow a lot and I am no longer at a loss.
After 3 years, Laciann Di is finally going to have a place of its own!
It's just the beginning, let's hope it will blossom...
